Bee houses

Being on this fabulous blog Yvestown I have learned about Solitary bees. They are very important for us. "Solitary bees are harmless and do not sting, they do not live in hives or build combs, and they do not swarm." Take a look at the cute and awesome ideas that we can do to help them survive.

Yvestown says "Bees pollinate 80% of the worlds plants and Albert Einstein predicted that if the bees die, the plants will die, the animals will die and then the people will die. It's very simple to make your own solitary bee house using instructions on this website"

as for now

... we are not doing the wedding party. In the beginning we wanted to make a smart party for close family and friends, however it quickly became more not just a small party. More and more people would need to be invited... and it became A Wedding. It did not make sense any more to make that party. We would go to the City Hall and after that we will go for a nice dinner with just our parents and siblings and that's it. We also decided that after 2-3 years we will do the big wedding :) As for now the decision seems to be the right one and I am still excited about the whole thing.

I am actually looking for some short, cute wedding dress that I could ware to the City Hall. Let me know what you think.

1.

2.

And I would love a small flower in my hair. Maybe something like this:

Let me know what you think :) Which look do you like better, 1- the more sexy look or 2- more 'sensitive' girly-like.

been so long

since I posted last time. I just have so much going on- excuses excuses.

Today I have been working on some of my projects for school. One of them was a research paper about an excellent educator of my choice. I decided to write about  Charlotte Mason, a British educator who started teaching by using short lessons, Living Books instead of textbooks (the books were written by people who had passion for the subject, in easy, comprehensible language) and by using art and free play. She was amazing and really loved children. A part of the project was also creating a Museum walk board. So here is what I have came up with

It is not done as my printer refused to print pictures and I would need to do it at school before class.
I used cardboard box that I had at home, instead of buying the board at the store. Not only did I save some money, but I am also environmentally friendly ;) wink, wink.

Besides that I have been working on my art portfolio for an Art class. Overall, my room was a huge mess today.

You can actually see the portfolio laying next to my bed (the white notebook thing)

I have so much to tell you guys that I will need to do it in other posts :) The engagement, the wedding, moving out, the in-laws meeting my parents etc. Told you I have a lot to tell ;)

busy busy

sorry I'm not here much and not visiting blogs much, but I'm just really busy.
Last weekend I took 8hrs of testing for Teaching Certificate. I was really stressed out about it so I could not concentrate on anything else. This is my last week of school and then I have a week off. Hopefully, I will have a chance to relax and catch up on more school work.

Besides all that school menace, we are planning our wedding. So far we have... let me think, there is so many things... oh yeah we have NOTHING. Not one thing ;/ We are currently looking for an elegant restaurant that will host around 50 guests. We want good food and alcohol for a good price, so we are still looking.
Next thing is going on a dinner with both parents, so they can formally meet. That is kind of stressful as well. A lot of things. Sometimes I'm feeling overwhelmed with all of it. However, I want to enjoy it :) I am seeing it as the wonderful thing that happens once in a lifetime (hopefully) and I want to make the most of if :)

real studying

being in college for awhile now, I have discovered something really awesome. When I am studying for midterms, finals or writing papers, I really DO learn things. However, you will be surprised when I tell you what I mean.... Usually, when I have to study (as I do right now for Post-colonial literature midterm) I find soooo many things to be SUPER interesting and I need to know them right now! I take my laptop and google the stuff that I absolutely need to know and I learn... the exception is that I learn things that I do not need for my midterms etc. Talking to my friends we discovered that we all have the same problem. Whenever we know that we need to do something, we find other 'so important' things to do.
Do you also have that problem? Whenever you know that something needs to be done, you find yourself doing something else because it is just 'so interesting' or 'so important' at the moment?
